Palcoyoc Mountain

Discover one of Peru’s hidden gems with a full-day adventure to Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain, a stunning alternative to the popular Vinicunca. Known for its colorful striped mountains and far fewer crowds, Palcoyo offers a more relaxed and accessible way to experience the magic of the Andes.

This scenic journey takes you through the high-altitude landscapes of the Ausangate region, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of three rainbow-colored mountains, a surreal stone forest, and local alpaca herds along the way.

Perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and those looking for a less strenuous trek, this tour combines breathtaking scenery with a peaceful Andean experience far from the beaten path.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Palcoyo is much easier and shorter, with a gentle incline and higher accessibility. It’s ideal for travelers who want amazing views without a challenging trek.

While Palcoyo is easier than Vinicunca, it’s still at high altitude (4,900 m), so spending at least 1–2 days in Cusco before the tour is highly recommended.
