Pallay Punchu
Venture off the beaten path to Pallay Punchu, one of Peru’s most striking and lesser-known rainbow mountains. Often called the “Rainbow Mountain of Sharp Edges” due to its unique blade-like formations, this hidden gem offers a dramatic landscape of vivid colors, rugged peaks, and sweeping Andean views — without the crowds.
This full-day journey takes you deep into the Layo district of Canas, passing through remote villages and scenic highland valleys. After a moderate hike, you’ll reach the summit of Pallay Punchu, where the sharp ridges and colorful sediment layers create an otherworldly panorama.
Ideal for adventurous travelers and photographers, this tour blends high-altitude trekking with raw natural beauty in one of the newest and most awe-inspiring destinations in Cusco.
